The Old City

Philadelphia is an exciting city that is steeped in American history. A good way to visit Philadelphia, and its environs, is with a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coaches or school bus rented from Bus Rentals Philadelphia.
All contained within a square mile, the Old City of Philadelphia contains much of the history of pre-independence America. Within the Old City you will find lots of shops, galleries, restaurants, bars and clubs, and not forgetting the many historic buildings and locations where the United States came into being.
Taking a rental bus into Philadelphia’s Old City, you will find Independence Hall. Formerly known as the Pennsylvania State House, it is arguably the most historic building in the United States, this is the place where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, and where the U.S. Constitution was drafted in 1787. You can take a tour of the interior, and view the exact desk and chair where the founders of the United States signed the Declaration of Independence.
Another much loved symbol of American freedom is the Liberty Bell. At the Liberty Bell Center you can view the famous bell which tolled out public announcements from above Independence Hall.
The National Constitution Center is a new museum dedicated to the Constitution of the United States. Touted as being the most interactive history museum in America, the visitor will be entertained with multimedia presentations and other educational exhibits. This family friendly museum also hosts an exhibit of 42 life size bronze statues of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence.
Get your rental bus driver to take your group down to Penn’s Landing, where you will find the Independence Seaport Museum. Here you will find displays and exhibits on Philadelphia’s maritime history. This museum traces American maritime history from colonial times through to the Industrial Revolution. Tours of the U.S.S. Olympia are available, which was built in 1892 and is the oldest steel warship still afloat.
Drop into the U.S. Mint, the first and largest Mint in the United States. Visitors can take a self guided tour of the Mint, where the history of U.S. coinage is on display. Please note that you must produce government issued I.D. to enter the Mint.

Titanic – The Tragic Fate Of The World's Largest Ship on Exhibit in Philadelphia

April 15, 1912 may have been just another ordinary day for many people but for thousands of people who were on Titanic, the world's largest ship, the events that unfolded before their disbelieving hearts and minds changed their lives forever. As the world watched and learned more about the sinking of the ship, hearts were broken and confidence were shaken. For more than a thousand and five hundred people, they perished along with the ship. The never-to-be-forgotten event got a lot of exhibitions, events, websites and memorials going as emphatic people from many other parts of the world poured their heart-felt messages, help and aid for people who were affected by it.
You can be a part of it too if you are in Philadelphia for a bus rentals tour this fall and winter because there is going to be Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition held at the Franklin Institute in remembrance the lives that were lost and in honor those who were lucky enough to survive.
So, what can you expect from the exhibition? There will be more than three hundred artifacts retrieved from the site of the wrecked ship including kitchenware discovered near the sunk ship, currency from different countries, and they even recovered someone's perfume bottle too. While there is little we can do for the victims, we, as concerned bus rentals tour visitors, can have a closer look at these collections in poignant remembrance of the victims.
The exhibition organizers aims to educate people about more than just the people who were affected by the fateful event but the exhibition will also touch a little about how the ship was built and the technology behind it. This is significant because a hundred years ago, high-tech technology was not yet available. And if you have watched Titanic the movie, you would love experiencing the 'staircase' or even reenacting your own scene too. We can't wait for you to make your way there for a Philadelphia bus rentals holiday.
The exhibition is open during the day time from Monday through to Wednesday for $29 per person ($22 for children under 12; it is free for babies and toddlers). On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, night visits are only $19.50 per person and $14.50 for the kids. So, if you have the time during this fall, head over to Franklin Institute for a look-around in your rented bus rentals charter.

The Creative Side of Philadelphia

You may not think of Philadelphia as a city filled with creative people who constantly comes up with art-related work, music or anything else that can be internationally-renowned masterpieces but let's just say that there ARE creative people in the design filed in Philadelphia. In fact, there is an organization called Design Philadelphia which regularly organizes events in and around Philadelphia every year which celebrates the innovation of design in Philadelphia. They attract throngs of visitors every year and those who come to the said events in groups will usually come using reliable charter bus, rental charters, party bus, school bus or the schools will ferry small school-going children with mini bus.
Bus Rentals Philadelphia is happy to help bring them to events like Design Philadelphia every year.
Design Philadelphia may organize the events only every year in October but in actuality, they have been supporting programs that runs all around the year and they sponsor many other similar programs too. Their focus is loosely focused on fashion design, interior design, graphic design and also building architecture too. So, as you can see, because of the large spectrum and topic that they cover, the event is usually a large and exciting one and they usually come using Bus Rentals Philadelphia transportation.
The event proves that you do not need to go all the way to New York City or Los Angeles in order to be involved in the creative industry and the aim is to prove is that Philadelphia is not design-dead. The locals would hate to think that after the civil war, it will continue to be thought of as the 'workshop of the world' and is focused on manufacturing. No, that is not true and they are trying very hard to break out of that mold.
There are so many sides to Philadelphia that is really worth exploring in your bus rentals Philadelphia vehicles, apart from historical sites and mills and abandoned factories. Let's just give Philadelphia folks the chance to show you their creative side by visiting events like Design Philadelphia. Let Bus Rentals Philadelphia show you around Philadelphia.
